Qualification for this specialty degree requires extensive post graduate classroom and laboratory training.  Doctors interested in the field of chiropractic orthopedics must attend monthly classes scheduled on the weekends for a period of 3-4 years.  Upon successful course completion, the doctor is then eligible to take a comprehensive written and oral examination.  If the doctor passes both examinations, he/she is the awarded the specialty degree DABCO – Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists.  The doctor then continues to remain abreast of the latest research and developments through continuing education with attendance at chiropractic orthopedic conventions and seminars.
